Sonnet 18
Shall I compare thee to asummer's day?
Thou art more lovely andmore temperate;
Rough winds do shake thedarling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath alltoo short a date;
Sometime too hot the eye ofheaven shines,
And often is his goldcomplexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fairsometime declines,
By chance or nature'schanging course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shallnot fade,
Nor lose possession of thatfair thou ow'st;
Nor shall Death brag thouwander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to timethou grow'st:
So long as men can breatheor eyes can see,
So long lives this, and thisgives life to thee.
–William Shakespeare
但你,还是和初见时一样明媚;
移过钟面,你看不见它的踪影;

Sonnet 104
TO me, fair Friend, younever can be old,
For as you were when firstyour eye I eyed
Such seems your beautystill. Three winters' cold
Have from the forests shookthree summers' pride;
Three beauteous springs toyellow autumn turn'd
In process of the seasonshave I seen,
Three April perfumes inthree hot Junes burn'd,
Since first I saw you fresh,which yet are green.
Ah! yet doth beauty, like adial-hand,
Steal from his figure, andno pace perceived;
So your sweet hue, whichmethinks still doth stand,
Hath motion, and mine eyemay be deceived:
For fear of which, hear this, thou age unbred,—
Ere you were born, was beauty's summer dead.
–William Shakespeare
